We are excited to announce the opening of our new lab space in the Mary Woodard Lasker Biomedical Research Building at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus in Washington Heights. The new space features 700 ft2 and will serve both our MR spectroscopy and hardware engineering tracks. It houses all equipment necessary for our research interests, including:
- Wet lab space and fume hoods for MR phantom preparation
- Vacuum resin infusion setup and a curing oven for manufacturing composites
- 3D printer
- Workstation with software for computer aided design and electromagnetic simulations
- Electric soldering station
- Test bench including oscilloscope and LCR meter to test custom build electronics
This setup is completed by shared resources of Columbia University, including a machine shop. The Lasker building is conveniently located in close proximity to the various institutes and offices of the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and is well connected to Columbia's main campus and the new Manhattanville campus.
The first project that is going to be completed in this new space is our multi-coil setup implementing DYNAMITE MRI in an accessible human head-only scanner.
