Congratulations to Kelley Swanberg, who has successfully defended her Ph.D. work entitled "Optimization of sensitivity to disease-associated cortical metabolic abnormality by evidence-based quantification of in vivo 1H MRS data from 3 T and 7 T."
This work aimed to apply evidence-based approaches to spectral quantification and metabolite concentration referencing as well as multivariate statistics including supervised learning to 1H-MRS data in order to maximize and characterize its sensitivity and specificity as a clinical diagnostic tool for neurological or psychiatric diseases including multiple sclerosis, PTSD, and/or major depressive disorder.
