An optimized semi-LASER sequence that is capable of acquiring artefact-free data with a minimal echo time of 20.1 ms on a standard clinical 3 T MR system was developed in our laboratory. In addition, it contains MEGA editing and metabolite nulling functionality as well. This sequence is available for use on compatible Siemens scanners by C2P agreement with MR Science Laboratory and Siemens.
