Figure from Recent Publication Featured as Cover Image on NMR in Biomedicine Special Issue

January 01, 2021

Congratulations to postdoctoral fellow Karl Landheer and graduate student Kelley Swanberg on their recent figure being selected as a cover image for the May 2021 special issue of NMR in Biomedicine "Advanced methodology for in vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy."

The figure contains in vivo proton spectra from glutathione (GSH), a molecule that exhibits both weak and strong J-coupling at high field strengths, and co-edited molecule N-acetyl aspartate that were used to validate the MARSS software, a freeware toolkit that we offer to enable fast and accurate density-matrix spectral simulation of spin systems for MR spectroscopy experimental planning and basis set development [1]. These data represent J-difference-edited sLASER GSH difference spectra acquired from the occipital cortex of ten participants and previously employed in the first measurement of in vivo GSH T2 at 7 T [2]
