Biography

Mustafa Mert Saygi is an undergraduate student at Columbia Engineering studying electrical engineering with a minor in mechanical engineering. Mert joined the MR SCIENCE Laboratory in 2022 and is currently working on the development of an auto-calibrated coil winding system for B0 magnetic field control.

Outside of the laboratory, Mert is an active member of the High Voltage and Low Voltage teams of the Columbia Formula SAE club. He is also a member of the Robotics club and the vice-president of the Global Youth Membership club, where he works to develop mindfulness and ethics curricula for young students around the world.
