Biography

Ian Macleod is an undergraduate student and Laidlaw Scholar at Columbia studying Computer Science and Economics. Ian joined the MR SCIENCE Laboratory in 2020. His current research involves examining the algorithmic efficiency of field generation to minimize the processing time it takes to change magnetic fields. 

Beyond Columbia, Ian is an advising fellow leader for Matriculate, an organization helping high school students apply to college. He hopes to continue to pursue the real-world research applications of computer science following graduation.
