Biography

Abhinav Kurada is an Undergraduate Egleston Scholar at Columbia, studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Abhinav joined the Juchem Lab in Fall 2016. His current research involves image segmentation and classification of brain tissue of mixed voxels from MR Spectroscopy of MS patients and healthy controls. 

Outside the classroom, Abhinav is an operating committee leader in the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs and the Biomedical Engineering Society. He is also an executive board member of the Medical Informatics Society. After graduation, Abhinav hopes to utilize the skills he has acquired toward further medical studies and entrepreneurial endeavors in the biomedical sector.
